Recently, I stepped into the world of Clayton, an energetic and charismatic senior from Jarrell, Texas. He was eager for his senior portrait session, and excited to share this next chapter of life with me. He’s a passionate kid, and his passions paint a picture of his vibrant personality. His heart belongs to the gridiron and the great outdoors, as he’s an ardent fan of both football and hunting. When it comes to refueling his spirit, Clayton turns to the classics: Blue Gatorade and sweet tea, paired with pretzels and granola bars. As he rolls his eyes with a playful grin, Clayton reveals that summer is his favorite season – a time when the deadlines of school are temporarily cast aside, and the world is his playground!
And in the world of fashion, Clayton effortlessly transitions between styles that reflect his dynamic persona. Whether it’s the sophistication of nice jeans (with a button-down shirt and boots), the casual cool of jeans and a t-shirt adorned with a letterman jacket, or the rugged charm of athletic and hunting gear, Clayton’s wardrobe is an extension of his personality. In a display of unwavering confidence, Clayton declares there’s no part of himself he’s self-conscious about when facing the camera lens (I love that!). His playlist, featuring artists like Zack Ryan, Riley Green, Cody Johnson, and Flatland Calvary, offers a musical snapshot of his laid-back yet vibrant taste. While he may not hold sentimental attachments to very many material possessions, Clayton’s willingness to incorporate meaningful elements like his truck, hunting rifle, helmet, football, and letterman jacket into his senior portraits reflects his unique story.
This bright and kind senior came to me with lots of trust that I could capture his senior year with authenticity and fun, and we did just that! Congratulations to him and his wonderful family.
