“Believe in yourself and all that you are. Know that there is something inside you that is greater than any obstacle.” – Christian D. Larson
Senior year can be unique and unforgettable, but it’s also a time of transition and anticipation. As you prepare to leave high school and enter the next phase of your life, you are also experiencing things like prom, senior class trips, and graduation celebrations. For many students, senior year is a time to reflect on their academic achievements and personal growth, as they look back on all the hard work and experiences that have brought them to this point. For Makinley, the culmination of all of these things has been incredibly special and a time of growth.
Makinley was part of the Blue Belles dance team during her high school years, as well as the National Honor Society. She also worked part-time at Brooklyn Heights as a server. “I am passionate about dance and meteorology, and I am a terrific on-the-spot thinker! I come up with ideas very quickly, and really value my friends and family”, she shared, “I’ve really learned that I can do anything if I put my mind to it”. This beautiful girl is graduating from Leander High School, and has loved creating memories like homecoming and football games with the people she holds dear at her school. With her parents as her biggest role models, she has learned and grown and also solidified her passions: she plans to attend college to study meteorology and I know she will be amazing at it!
Congratulations, Makinley!
