As time passes, your priorities often change. Now that I am a mama of older children, I have learned to treasure the time with friends and family even more than I did when I was younger. The older I get, the less worried I am about the superficial things, and I am much more invested in the things that really matter. It’s a lesson learned by experience, and whenever I hear seniors talk about how much their friends and family mean to them, I’m so grateful that they know what truly matters. Keely is one of those incredible young people who already has their priorities lined up so well, and who is so mature for her age. She shared with me, “Right now, God and my family are the most important things in my life. God is the cornerstone of my life, and He is the one who sets everything up to fall into place when it’s supposed to! My family is above everyone else; they always have my back, and nothing compares to their love and support.” Lastly, she is looking ahead to her future (which is SUPER bright!), and she hopes to start her own business and become self-employed in the years to come.
When I asked this sweet girl to describe her personal style, she said, “Oh my goodness, my personal style is country! I am definitely a country girl, but also can be a bit of a girly girl and occasionally, a chic style fits me too.” These locations fit her mix of urban and country, and they brought out the life and fun in her wardrobe choices, too. She has a million-watt smile, and can we just talk about that HAIR?! I loved bringing her vision to life. She is graduating from Keller High School, and she is very involved in her local FFA chapter, volunteering at church, and working at ACE Hardware. “Going to shows with my FFA friends and my animals is my favorite memory from high school”, she explained, “I really enjoy the outdoors and my animals and I absolutely love the country girl life!” I loved that we brought pieces of that lifestyle in with her belt and boots.
Jeremiah 29:11 (For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future) is her favorite verse, and really sums up the trust she has in the Lord to guide her next steps. I have no doubt that she will succeed at her future college home, and will bring her signature smile with her! Neely, you are a light, and it was a honor to be your senior photographer!
