“If you look to others for fulfillment, you will never be fulfilled. If your happiness depends on money, you will never be happy with yourself. Be content with what you have; rejoice in the way things are. When you realize there is nothing lacking, the world belongs to you!” -Unknown
I love this quote, because it embodies how to truly find joy, and how to look forward to a future with peace and excitement! It also reminds me of this sweet girl, who has a quiet spirit about her that is amazing. She is so loving, caring, and genuine, and I feel lucky to have been able to do her senior photos (I feel lucky to work with all my seniors!). She is graduating from Round Rock High School, where she was actively involved with the Sweethearts. The Sweethearts chapter is a women’s organization that helps high school girls give back to their communities, and gain leadership experience. She also works as a lifeguard and swim instructor outside of school.
“My favorite memory from high school would be the football games”, she shared with me, “Also going to homecoming, and hanging out with my friends.” She says the people she loves are the most important thing in her life right now, and that her friends would probably describe her as “easy-going, kind, and outgoing”. “I am passionate about kindness”, she adds, “I love being around kids, and I really love my job as a swim instructor”. When she has any spare time, you are likely to find her playing sand volleyball, swimming, or laying out by the lake. She is a laid-back kinda gal, and her fashion sense reflects that, too. She jokes that her style is a little bit country, and a little bit casual, and I loved the way it came out in her shoot!
Ashley, you are a gem! I’m so glad I got to work with you, and I hope these images bring you so much joy as you head into your future.
