What. A. Knockout! This girl packs a real punch: not only is she stunningly gorgeous, she possesses talent, athleticism, and the sweetest heart, too! Briana is graduating from Oak Ridge High School, and she’s a fiery, passionate, and caring young lady that I feel SO honored to know. Getting to know my clients is something I take seriously, and I try to incorporate their personalities or interests into their shoots, so the finished images reflect who they are.
Briana has been very involved in the many activities and clubs at her school, in both academics and athletics. She was a varsity cheerleader, and a part of the National Honor Society, and worked with underclassmen in a mentorship program. She also loves being an active member at her church, and has worked part-time at Woodlands Ice Rink and Crane’s dress boutique in her spare time. “Right now, I am most concerned about spending my time with the people I care about before I move away to college”, she explained, “I am always working on improving myself as a person, one day at a time”. Her parents are some of her biggest supporters and she cites them as her biggest role models, especially her mom. “Both of my parents are some of her heroes, but my mom and I are very close. She is my hero, and my role model, because she is so strong, independent and intelligent. She taught me to be a strong-willed woman with integrity, and to have empathy for those around me”, adds Briana.
Besides her volunteer work, she also is passionate about her future. She shared, “I genuinely love helping people, and want to work to reduce inequities of opportunity among populations. I love music, animals, and education is very important to me.” She plans to attend UT after graduation. She was too humble to share with me, but her mom proudly told me that she was voted Most Likely to Succeed by her graduating class, and she is one of just five recipients of the ICES Global Impact Scholarship! I am so very excited to watch her future unfold in the months to come!
