Confidence is something that you really can’t teach. It’s something that shows up in a quiet way in some clients, with an unassuming sweetness and self-assuredness that no photographer can really coach…it’s just part of them. When I first met Arden, I was drawn to this quality in her. She is beautiful, incredibly smart and possesses a heart of gold. She is a graduate from Round Rock High School, and is currently attending the University of Texas in Austin to further her education. During her time in high school, she treasures the memories of things like football games, Friday theme days, morning spirit rallies, and cheering with her besties in the student section! She also was able to gain valuable insight and encouragement from her science teachers, who fostered her love for science, and who are the reason she is majoring in biology in college.
Arden is a devoted reader, and I wanted to be sure to capture her love of literature in her shoot…we planned to have her read her favorite childhood book in her favorite childhood spot (the tree), and the results were so dreamy. This girl has a very compassionate outlook on life; something that she has gleaned from her wise and loving mom. “My mom is the most important person in my life”, shared Arden, “Right now, she is battling an aggressive form of breast cancer, and the presence of that disease has really put things in perspective for me. She’s always been my biggest supported, but she’s even more important to me than ever”. I loved hearing her sweet and positive outlook on such a difficult situation, and feel it really shows her commitment to live life to the best of her abilities.
The quiet confidence of this wonderful girl is something I myself hope to emulate. These seniors teach me so much, and always remind me to never take a single moment for granted.
These are ALL absolutely gorgeous. And LOVE the name Arden.
I couldn’t agree more. You never hear that name….so unique. Thank you Staci.
Wow, what a great variety of fun senior pictures! The one of her running away from the camera and one of her in the tree are my favorites!
So many amazing ones from her session, but that one is one of the top pics EVER! Thank you so much Michelle. 🙂
